More Cork couples now marry in the hotel itself, which means the room where you say your vows is often the room where you have your first dance. That makes timing between the celebrant and the dance floor crew important — and it’s something we’ve done many times.
Start with the right celebrant
The ceremony sets the tone for the whole night. The celebrant we recommend most is Carol Cotter, a registered solemniser in Cork. She arrives early, walks the room with you, and keeps the ceremony relaxed and personal — so your guests head into the drinks reception already in great form.
How the turnaround works
- Ceremony: chairs set out, Carol leads the ceremony, signing of the register.
- Drinks reception: guests move out while the venue resets for dinner. A selfie mirror keeps them entertained.
- After dinner: our crew lays your white, black or striped LED dance floor — usually while speeches finish or during a short break.
- First dance: lights down, floor glowing, your wedding DJ takes it from there.
Tell us your celebrant and ceremony time when booking and we’ll plan our arrival around it. All installs are fully insured and we cover the whole of County Cork.

FAQs
Can the dance floor go in the same room as the ceremony?
Yes. We lay it after the ceremony and dinner, so it never gets in the way of your celebrant or your aisle.
How long does an LED dance floor take to set up?
It depends on size and access, but we plan it around your venue’s turnaround so the first dance isn’t delayed.
